A two-story, 600-square-meter (6,500-square-foot) health spa contains an indoor pool in a glass-walled pavilion equipped with jets for hydrotherapy and a current to swim against. Massage, hydro-massage, body wraps and scrubs, hydro/chromo therapy, reflexology, and facials are also available. Massage is also offered on the beach.
The spa also contains a mirror-walled fitness room with cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights; a spa tub; and women's and men's locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms--all complimentary, as is use of the pool.
In summer and during the Easter holidays, the hotel provides complimentary supervised children's indoor and outdoor activities. International newspapers are printed from the Internet on request (surcharges). Decor and furnishings feature crown molding; carpeting; botanical prints on walls; and light-colored wood trim and furniture, including tables, desks, and cushioned chairs. Marble bathrooms with separate toilet rooms feature twin-sink vanities, scales, and ceramic appointments from Porches, the Algarve's famed pottery center.

Driving directions from Faro Airport: Follow signs to Hwy N 125 and go west in the direction of Portimão. Proceed for approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) to signs pointing to Portimão and Loulé. Turn toward Portimão and proceed for approximately 3 km (1.75 miles) to sign for Quinta do Lago on the left and Church of Saint Lawrence (Igreja de São Lourenço) on the right. Turn right toward Almancil. In Almancil, follow signs to Quinta do Lago. Enter Quinta do Lago resort development and proceed on main road, following signs to hotel, approximately 3 km (1.75 miles).
Getting there: Rental cars are available online. Taxis and vans for up to eight passengers are available at the airport.
Getting around: Rental bicycles are available at the hotel. During summer months, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to Quinta Shopping Center, located just outside the resort's entrance 3 km (1.75 miles) away.
