Funchal Madeira Airport (FNC): Approximate driving time to The Vine is 25 minutes and distance is 20 miles (12 kilometres).
Getting there: Complimentary hotel shuttles to and from the airport run every hour between 9 AM and 7 PM. Alternatively, taxis are available from outside arrivals and charge €30 to the centre of Funchal. The Aerobus departs for Funchal every 30 minutes and a single ticket is €5. Local buses also run to the city centre. All prices subject to change.
Getting around: Funchal has an efficient public bus network which also connects to surrounding area. A car would be useful for exploring the island beyond Funchal.
