Faro International Airport (FAO): Approximate driving time is 30 minutes and distance is 25 kilometres (15.5 miles).
Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building; typical fares are €9-12.50 to Faro town, to Vilamoura €25-30, to Lagos €65-80 and to Albufeira €35-45. Buses can also be caught outside the terminal building. AEROBUS provides a shuttle service between the airport and city centre daily (except Tuesday) in high season.
Driving directions: From the airport follow signs for Lisboa/Portimao/Loulé for three kilometres. Turn right and follow directions for Portimão/ Loulé. Pass two sets of traffic lights, bear right and follow N125 for Almancil/Quarteira, heading for Portimão/Lisboa. Pass two gas stations on both sides of the main road, and at the next traffic lights, bear right and make a left turn. Follow the road for Vilamoura/Quarteira, pass the Aqua Show Fun Park on the right, and turn right at the sign for Morgadinhos.
